Epta UK employs an integrated management system (IMS) in line with PAS 99:2012 – a streamlined, risk-based standard that is the world's first specification for integrated management systems.

Epta UK’s IMS incorporates three certifications:

  3. ISO 45001:2018


Our IMS is certified by a third party who underline our commitment to comply with quality, environmental and safety standards.

Alongside the standards to which Epta UK is certified, the company also follows the guidance of ISO 26001 for corporate social responsibility.




Epta UK is a member of the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA). FETA is a collective which includes the British Refrigeration Association and works with the Institute of Refrigeration and the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board to influence UK refrigeration. It also works closely with the European trade associations through the joint organisation area, and with other associations throughout the world to promote refrigeration and improve standards.  The Association is exerting significant and growing influence in the fields of training and education for the industry.


As part of the British Government plan for the reduction of carbon emissions and energy costs, this scheme provides tax relief to companies purchasing products that meet the agreed energy saving criteria. Many cabinets supplied by Epta UK are approved by the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme.


As a user of fluorinated refrigerant gases, and in accordance with legal requirements (the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2009), Epta George Barker and Epta Cold Service Limited appears on the REFCOM Register of Companies as Competent to Handle Refrigerants.

Epta George Barker Limited won the award for best eco-compatible installation in the retail industry in 2009 and the Convenience Retail Project of the Year in conjunction with the Cooperative Group in 2014.
